Hand Made Stool crafted in Ash with a Wych Elm Seat
This is a traditional, comfy and versatile frame stool featuring an organic seat.
The ash was sourced from the Cotehele Estate. The wych elm was sourced from Hertfordshire.
This frame stool is made traditionally in the old way by hand, using cleft ash. The seat is woven with the inner bark of the wych elm - a very comfortable, supportive and hard wearing natural material. Six to eight coats of Danish oil is sanded into the frame to both seal the wood and give it a beautiful natural luster.
It is a generous sized stool. Ideal for sitting on by the fire, or as a guitar stool, to put your feet up on, or for a book or magazine rest. You can even put a tray on top to take tea or coffee pots and cups.
Frame is 39 x 39 cm; seat is 33 cm high; weight is 2.5 kg.
