Hand Made Stool crafted in Walnut and Brown Oak Featuring Walnut Seat Wedges
This stool is a one off, and has my name and logo fixed in the bottom of the seat.
The timber was sourced from a specialist sawmill in Devon.
The mid color walnut seat with its distinctive grain contrasts beautifully with the brown oak legs and black walnut seat wedges. It is made traditionally in the old way, by hand. The seat is sculpted with a Farrier's file, the legs are hand turned. Black walnut seat wedges set it off nicely. Six to eight coats of Danish oil sanded in, both seal the wood and give it a beautiful natural luster.
It is a medium to large sized stool. They take quite a long time to make.
Leg span at base - 43 x 43 cm; seat is 33 x 33 cm and 4 cm thick; stool height is 33 cm; weight is 2.6 kg.
