Hand Made Stool crafted in London Plane Featuring Walnut Seat Wedges
I'm down to my last two London Plane stools left for sale. This is one of them and it's totally unique. It has my name and logo fixed in the bottom of the seat.
The timber was sourced from a specialist sawmill in Devon.
The wood is bursting with natural features including lace wood markings on seat and legs. It is made traditionally in the old way, by hand. The seat is sculpted with a Farrier's file, the legs are hand turned. Black walnut seat wedges set it off nicely. Six to eight coats of Danish oil sanded in, both seal the wood and give it a beautiful natural luster.
It is a large and heavy stool. They take quite a long time to make.
Leg span at base - 45 x 45 cm; seat is 40 cm diameter and 6 cm thick; stool height is 40 cm; weight is 4.9 kg.
