Hand Made Stool crafted in Rare Cornish Ripple Ash Featuring Walnut Seat Wedges
Finding ripple grained ash is discovering treasure. Like all my stools it has my name and logo fixed in the bottom of the seat.
The timber was sourced from a specialist sawmill in Devon. The grain and color is a treat for the eyes when you apply the first coat if finish.
The seat shows off the natural waney grain and coloring. It is sculpted with a Farrier's file, the legs are hand turned. Black walnut seat wedges set it off nicely. The stool is finished in oil and wax to both seal the wood and give it a beautiful natural satin luster.
It is a medium sized stool. They take quite a long time to make.
Seat is 33x 33 cm and 4 cm thick; stool height is 37 cm.
