Hand Made Stool crafted in Cornish Ripple Ash Featuring Walnut Seat Wedges
Another small stool in beautiful ripple olive ash. I call these 'puppy' stools - they're so tiny and cute you just want to take one home. This one is pictured with puppy stool # 41.
The timber was sourced from a specialist local sawmill . The grain of the seat is accentuated with the butternut color of olive ash, the black walnut seat wedges add a ping of darkness and feature. Like all of my stools it has my name and logo fixed in the bottom of the seat.
It is sculpted with a Farrier's file. The ash legs are hand turned. It is treated with about 6 coats of linseed oil to both seal the wood and give it a beautiful natural satin luster. The end result is a very smooth and tactile piece of furniture.
It is a small sized stool which is popular as a wedding or christening present.
Seat is 21 x 20 cm and 4 cm thick; stool height is 25 cm.
