Hand Made Stool crafted in Cornish Ripple Ash Featuring Walnut Seat Wedges
Rectangular four legged stool, sister to stool # 38. This one is pictured with the higher # 40 stool.
The timber was sourced from a specialist local sawmill . The ripple grain is a delight. Like all of my stools it has my name and logo fixed in the bottom of the seat.
It is sculpted with a Farrier's file. The ash legs are hand shaped. It is treated with about 6 coats of linseed oil to both seal the wood and give it a beautiful natural satin luster. The end result is a very smooth and tactile piece of furniture.
Seat is 25 x 19 cm and 4 cm thick; stool height is 29 cm.
