Children's Chairs
Children of all ages love to have their own special chair. I sometimes make limited runs of wild children’s chairs either from elegant cleft Ash, or natural rustic Ash with the beautiful green bark still on. I get a lot of fun out of making them, but the best buzz in when I see mine and other children sitting in them.
These chairs are one convenient size (12” square seat, 12” seat height and about 2 feet high. I also make a child’s stool of the same seat dimensions. They are suitable for children aged from one to about seven. Soon I’ll make some children’s high chairs and rocking chairs, which I think will be very popular with the little folk.
They are primarily indoor chairs sealed with Danish oil, but will be ok in occasional moderate outdoor conditions, although they are best kept indoors away from damp or wet outdoor weather. They are all handmade to the same high standard as all my other chairs, ensuring that carefully looked after; they will be future heirlooms, providing endless photo opportunities for you and your children’s children.
